We enjoy autumn in Michigan, it is one of our favorite seasons.
The fall colors, the crisp fall air, football games, crisp crunchy apples are
just a few of the wonderful things about fall in Michigan.
While the autumn colors on the trees are a thing of beauty, they quickly become
a much detested chore to clean up. Raking leaves on a beautiful fall day
is fun for about 30 minutes. On a blustery cold, rainy day, it is a miserable
chore, a never ending job to complete. The leaves fall like rain, and will
take a few days to 2 weeks to completely leave the trees.
If you live in the city of East Grand Rapids, Michigan, this isn’t such a
chore because the city takes away your leaves for you. All you
have to do is get them to the curb.
As you can see in these photos of a few streets in East Grand Rapids, many
leaves are at the curb, ready to be picked up and composted. A sure sign of
fall in these neighborhoods.

as some homes sell, prices are adjusted and other homes come on the
market. Price per square foot is a great leveler. If two similar homes are
listed at similar prices, their price per square foot should be similar.
It should reflect the interior finish of the home. For example, if it has
crystal chandeliers, marble tile, a new kitchen, this would be more per
square foot than a home that is in derelict condition.

East Grand Rapids Michigan is America’s hometown, at least for quite a few famous people and lots of not-so-famous people. Gerald R Ford, our 38th President and our 40th Vice President grew up in Grand Rapids and lived in East Grand Rapids when he served 25 years as a Michigan Congressman. The movie American Pie was written by Adam Herz, who grew up in East Grand Rapids and based the movie on his teen years.

at 11.29 months, which means if no new listings come on the
East Grand Rapids market, it will take 11.29 months for the existing
home inventory to sell.
There are 166 active listings on the East Grand Rapids market now,
up 26 from last month, ranging from $99,980 to $2,039,000.
20 Pending Home Sales w/ prices ranging from $ 99,900 to $ 499,000.
63 Sold Homes with sold prices ranging from $ 25,000 to $ 330,000
since Sept 1, 2008 in the East Grand Rapids housing inventory.
The lower end of this market (under $300K) has seen 2/3 of the sales
in the last seven months. With the current lowest list price at 99,900,
it looks like the bargain basement days in EGR housing is phasing out.

at 12 months, which means if no new listings come on the
East Grand Rapids market, it will take 12 months for the existing

up slightly from last month, ranging from $99,980 to $2,039,000.

slower than normal.
