Grand Rapids Michigan July 4th 2010 Celebration

Grand Rapids July 4th Fireworks and Celebration will be held at

Ah Nab Awen Park along the Grand River in downtown Grand

Rapids.  The evenings entertainment will start at 6 pm and

conclude with the fireworks display at 10:30 pm.

6:00 pm – Octaglee Vocal Octet sing patriotic selections

6:15-6:45 pm – Spittin’ Image – 8th & 9th grade students  play

contemporary and classic rock

7:00 –7:30 pm – Gabriel James – Alternative style

7:45 – 8:30 pm – Silversmith – Group plays original music from

blues to classic  rock

8:30 – 9:15 pm – Four Finger Five – Band plays a unique mix of rock and blues

9:15 – 9:30 pm – Ralston Bowles – Popular West Michigan entertainer

9:30 – 10:30 pm – Natchez Trace – One of Michigan’s favorite Vocal Bands

10:30 pm – FIREWORKS!!!!

Grand Rapids Michigan Jazz at the Zoo – Monday Nights 2010

Begins Monday June 14, 2010 – John Ball Park Band Shell

From 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the The John Ball Park Band Shell,

The West Michigan Jazz Society will be featuring local bands

and talent Monday nights.  Free admission, although the hat

is passed for donations because the park is requiring liability

insurance for the group to perform and parking attendants.

So, grab a blanket, food, or purchase food at the event, and

enjoy local jazz at its best.

on the Terrace Stage Friday nights this summer.

Starting on June 11th and running until August 27th, 2010 every

Friday night from 7-9 pm.  Access to the Terrace Stage is free,

downtown market kiosks, plus food and beverages will be available.

Outdoor sketching, games for all ages and wonderful West Michigan

summer evenings in an urban setting – with live music!

Series.  Relax lakeside for an evening to hear these free

concerts  at beautiful Reeds Lake’s John Collins Park.

Concerts start at 7:00 PM. So bring your lawn chairs, blanket,

& sun glasses for an evening of family fun.

Concerts may be canceled in case of severe weather.

It seems there are free summer concerts everywhere this summer.

I have seen banners flying in small towns and villages all over Michigan.

What a great way to get out and enjoy the local parks, people

and scenery. Not to be outdone, Ada Michigan is joining the free

music array this summer.

Frederick Meijer Gardens Summer 2010 Concert Series

May 25 to August 25 2010

Meijer Gardens has a fabulous, intimate amphitheater in a

spectacular outdoor setting for it’s summer concert series.

The 2010 line up has been released to the public. Tickets

are available to Members first in a Pre-Sale, and go on sale

to the general public on May 15th.  The events are usually

sold out, so buy your tickets early.

The line up this year has something for everyone – from World, Rock

to Blues and little Comedy & Country.

Cheryl is a prolific songwriter and talented performer. You have

probably heard her songs. She is very respected by her peers, as many

of them have recorded her songs.

Chery’s songs have been covered by artists as diverse as Dan Seals,

Peter Paul and Mary, Kenny Loggins, Garth Brooks, Suzy Boggus,

Melanie, Bette Midler, Maura O’Connell, Sylvia, Kathy Mattea, and

Holly Near. If they think she is great, then maybe you should find

out why they are fans.
